About The Shaftesbury Theatre (Judy Dench Theatre)

The Shaftesbury theatre is a large West End venue seating 1390 people over three levels: the stalls, royal circle and grand circle. The Shaftesbury is widely regarded as one of the most opulent and ornate theatres in London, with the auditorium decorated in rich golds and reds. Located on Shaftesbury Avenue itself, the venue is just around the corner from the Dominion theatre and easily accessed via all forms of public transport.

The Shaftesbury Theatre will be renamed the Judi Dench Theatre in honour of Dame Judi Dench. The renaming is set to take place in February 2027.

Creative fun musical with puppetry
Great show and puppetry. Not for the young due to language and content. Funny with good staging. Great seat with good views of the stage. Couldn't always hear the lines clearly.
