Shaftesbury Theatre location
The Shaftesbury theatre is on the road the theatre is named after, the famous Shaftesbury Avenue, which also boasts the Queen’s, Lyric and Gielgud theatres. Owing to its remarkably central location getting to the Shaftesbury is never a problem, with great public transport links. Just make sure you fight you way through the tourist crowds in good time for the start of the show!
By tube
- The nearest tube stations are Tottenham Court Road (for the Central and Northern lines) and Holborn (for the Central and Piccadilly lines)
- 4 minutes from Tottenham Court Road: Exit the station and head past the Dominion Theatre down New Oxford Street towards Holborn. Turn right down Gower Street. As you meet Shaftesbury Avenue, the theatre is straight ahead of you
- 5 minutes from Holborn: Exit the station and head down High Holborn towards Tottenham Court Road. Turn left as the road meets Shaftesbury Avenue
